Second Edition of Brave Girl’s Tournament Empowers Young Girls in Uganda

The International University of East Africa pitch in Kansanga was the venue for the second edition of the Brave Girl’s Tournament, organized by Reach A Hand Uganda. Over 20 girls’ teams from various schools participated, competing for prizes that included 6 million UGX for the winners, 2 million UGX for the second place, and additional awards for the third place.

The Brave Girls Tournament is a significant initiative that challenges culturally and socially constructed narratives regarding employment, participation, and development. It celebrates and advocates for the rights of the girl child in Uganda, providing a platform for girls to engage in football while connecting them to networks that support their aspirations.
