Football, netball, chess, woodball and sack race where the games corporate companies were involved in the second outing of the 2022/23 Corporate Games season.
Unlike the first outing where corporates had only Football and tug of war, the second outing that was held on Sunday, August 7, 2022, came in handy as they had more games to get involved in.
The second outing saw more companies take part compared to the opening day of the games that commenced the season.
It’s also good to note that the games take place every first Sunday of every month and Kyambogo cricket grounds will be the home of the Corporate Games Uganda for the rest of the season.
Celebrity Fitness took charge of the opening session of the games.
All participating corporate entities go through an aerobic session that warms the body to get it ready for the busy day ahead that’s always full of fun body-stretching games.
Just after the aerobics were concluded, the games kicked off with the different corporate entities participating in football, netball and woodball.
Netball and woodball were part of the additional games that weren’t played on the first outing that took place in July.
As the rules of the games are, each team must comprise both men and women and this is to enable more fun and networking between the participating corporate companies.
During this outing, every corporate had a chance to undergo a free body check-up from Instawell who also offered services in diet, fitness, and nutrition among other things.
This highlights some of the benefits corporate companies that take part in the corporate games Uganda get. There is always free consultancy from the different corporate organizations under one roof.
The chairperson of the Corporate Games, Ian Rumanyika was in full praise of the different companies that registered and take part in the Games and also encouraged new companies to join since registration is still ongoing.
Unlike the previous editions, this season will run for this financial year (July to May) and then later be climaxed with an awards dinner in June.
“We are grateful for the different corporate companies that have joined the Corporate Games and encourage those who haven’t yet to come and join. The season has just started and there’s still plenty of time to for us to network and corporate.” Ian Rumanyika
“We encourage all companies to use company employees to make sure we don’t kill the spirit of these games. Registered workers with NSSF and TIN are the only ones encouraged to be used.” Rumanyika added.
