With the motivation of a 2-1 away win over Onduparaka, the red eagles got the work done early when inform winger Allan Kayiwa shot home in the 12th minute for his fourth of the season.

The solo strike was enough to send Express into fourth position with 11 points, three behind their day’s opponents who are on the summit.

In the other games played on Tuesday, Owen Kasule scored for Wakiso Giants while Hillary Mukundane levelled for Vipers SC as the two sides played out to a 1-1 draw at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

In Jinja, Alex Kitata scored a hattrick in Gaddafi FC’s 3-0 win against Soltilo Bright Stars.

Action returns on Wednesday with KCCA FC taking on UPDF at the Bombo Military grounds.
