Playing off handicap 26, Aganyira returned the day’s best score to secure her first major monthly victory in the competition.
Her win headlined another competitive outing at the lakeside course, coming just weeks after Bryan Wakwale’s triumph in the March edition, and underlined the depth in the club’s monthly series.
Tony Kisadha, who had finished runner-up in Group A in March, claimed the seniors’ title this time with a net 69, continuing his consistent run of form across categories. Evelyne Atukunda took the guest prize with a net 68.
In the men’s competition, Joseph Adrapi won Group A with a net 68, holding off Paul Kalemba who returned 71. Mathias Zungu topped Group B on 67, a slight improvement from his March showing where he placed behind Charles Odere, while Musa Baguma followed on 68. Tesfaye Gurmu edged Group C on countback after tying on 66 with Ronald Gayiya.
In the ladies’ categories, Jovia Tugume improved on her March Group A win by lowering her score to a net 65, comfortably ahead of Anne Abeja’s 69. Nice Janda won Group B with 69, while Phionah Namanya, who had been among the top performers in March, finished runner-up on 71.
The April results continued to shake up the order of merit standings, with several players building momentum across consecutive events as the MTN Monthly Tee series gathers pace at Entebbe Club.
