StarTimes Uganda Premier League side Onduparaka FC have appointed former SC Villa tactician Steven Bogere as new head coach.
Bogere’s appointment was made official on Tuesday, December 06 via the club’s official social media handles.
“Onduparaka FC announces the appointment of Mr. Steven Bogere as Head coach, effective Tuesday 6th December, 2022. We thank the assistant coach for holding forte thus far, we believe his arrival is timely as the management works towards improving the current performance of the team.” Onduparaka announced.
Bogere replaces interim coach Hamza Kalanzi who had come in after the resignation of then Haruna Mawa.
Bogere comes with vast experience having previously handed SC Villa, UPDF, Proline and now defucant Victoria University among other clubs.
At Onduparaka, he finds the club in a sorrow state as they are winnless in ten games and are currently rock bottom with just two points.
And he will be tasked to put things right at the West Nile based club who have endured a poor start in this year’s Uganda premier League season.
His first assignment will be a tricky visit to Kitende as they face Vipers this week on Wednesday at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
