Wakiso Giants Duo Nominated For SUPL November Awards

Wakiso Giants FC duo of coach John Luyinda and midfielder Owen Kasule have been nominated for the upcoming StarTimes Uganda Premier League best of November awards.

The Purple Sharks were in good form in November, going unbeaten in the six games they played. They won four and drew twice which saw them end the month at the top of the league table.

They defeated URA FC 2-1, drew 1-1 with Vipers, beat Villa 2-1, took care of Gaddafi 2-0, drew with Onduparaka 0-0 and ended the month with a hard-fought 3-2 win against Express.

Luyinda will have to battle for the best coach award of the month of November with KCCA FC head coach Morley Byekwaso and Vipers head coach Roberto Oliviera.

Byekwaso helped KCCA FC to four wins out of the five they played as they also remained unbeaten.

For Vipers, they played seven games under the guidance of Oliviera, managing to win six and just a single draw.

The player of the month award looks to be a tight one as Kasule goes up against Nelson Ssenkatuuka of Bright Stars and Alex Kitata of Gaddafi FC.

Kasule had a huge contribution in the six games Wakiso Giants played as he scored three goals and created as many more. Ssenkatuuka scored five goals and assisted one in the five games they played.

For Kitata, he scored five goals in the five games as Gaddafi managed three wins and lost the other two.
