The Cranes who had been staged in Annaba since arrival from Tunusia will honor their final Group B match at Nelson Mandela Stadium, Algiers.

Uganda Cranes Media Officer, Ahmed Hussein, who also travelled to the 2022 CHAN as the official media officer for Uganda confirmed the team’s planned departure to Algiers.

“Uganda Cranes contingent will on Friday morning shift base to Algeria’s capital city of Algiers ahead of the other final Group B game against Ivory Coast on Sunday”.

The team will set for the first session in Algiers on Friday evening.

Through the team captain, Milton Karisa’s goal at half an hour mark, Uganda won their second group match against Senegal on Wednesday before drawing 0-0 with Democratic Republic of Congo in the group opener game which was played from 19 May 1956 Stadium in Annaba.

All the 23 players named for the tournament are in contention to play in the Sunday game against the Ivory Coast, who drew 0-0 with the two-time champions of Democratic Republic of Congo on Wednesday.

A win or draw  for Uganda  past Ivory Coast on Sunday will see the Uganda Cranes making it to the quarter finals.

The Cranes top the group table with 4 points after a win and draw against Senegal and Ivory Coast respectively.
