Impis rugby clubs denied Platinum Credit Heathens bonus points in a hotly contested game that ended 14–24 at the graveyard, Makerere.
Defending champions Heathens were in an early kickoff clash with Impis at the graveyard and only left with four points.
Heathens emerged the better side better side though they didn’t get the result that they are known of getting. Compared to the game played in round one, the Heathens thrashed the Impis 55-10 at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds.
Michael Amolo added another try, and Scot Oluoch added a hat-trick of tries for Muhammad Athiyo’s team. Scot Oluoch was ultimately named man of the match.
Then Keneddy Muhumuza and Roy Kizito of the Impis answered with two of their own. The two conversions of the Impis were successful thanks to Robert Ssentongo.
Roy Kizito’s late try for the Imps helped them capitalize and deny the Heathens the bonus points, which could have been advantageous to them in the top of the table fight.
The Stanbic Black Pirates were also given a hard time by the Rams at the Makerere graveyard in that the Rams took the lead at halftime with 14:09.
The Sea Robbers took advantage in the second half when the Rams were one man down after getting a yellow card.
The Pirates managed to beat the Rams 33:20 at full time, with Ivan Magom winning the man of the match award.
In other news from the Legends rugby ground, the Walukuba Barbarians beat the 18-09 rhinos; this win means that they have gotten their third win of the season.
