Cairo, the vibrant capital of Egypt, is set to host the draws for the quarter-final matchups of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup and the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.
The draws are scheduled for Tuesday, March 12th, 2024, kicking off with the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup at 3:00 PM (15:00), followed by the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League draw at 4:00 PM (16:00).
Notably, Al Ahly, the defending champions, dominated Group D with an unbeaten run, securing 12 points from three wins and three draws. They clinched the African title in 2023 by defeating Wydad AC 3–2 on aggregate in the final.
Despite their past success, Wydad AC failed to progress beyond the group stage this season, finishing 3rd in Group B.
Among the quarter-finalists in the 2023/24 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup, USM Alger, the reigning champions, stand out. They made history by claiming their first continental title in the previous season, narrowly defeating Tanzania’s Young Africans (Yanga) in the final.
