17-year-old Ugandan para swimmer, Husnah Kukundakwe, has a new African record in the 100m freestyle event.
Husnah finished Heat 7 with a remarkable time of 1:18:27, at the World Para Series in Italy.
Husnah’s journey to this historic moment has been nothing short of inspiring. Born with a congenital limb impairment, she refused to let her circumstances define her. From a young age, she embraced the water, finding solace and strength in swimming.
Her dedication to the sport saw her rise through the ranks, earning accolades and medals along the way.
She has participated in competitions on international stages like the London 2019 World Para Swimming Allianz Championships and the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
