Second-placed Luzira Falters as Park Extends Lead to Eight Points

The BetPawa Futsal Super League witnessed a significant turn of events in Matchday 14 as the table leaders, Park FC, seized the opportunity to extend their lead to eight points after second-placed Futbol Club of Luzira stumbled in their fixture.

In a thrilling encounter at the Old Kampala Futsal Arena, Luzira faced off against Kampala Junior Team , only to suffer a narrow 4-3 defeat. Despite Samuel O’mara’s early goal for Luzira in the fourth minute, Kampala Junior Team  fought back valiantly. Joel Kizza led the charge, netting twice alongside goals from Jordan Ajuna and Arafat Ssentongo to secure the victory for his team.

Meanwhile, Park  capitalised on Luzira’s misstep as they emerged victorious against Edgars Youth Programme in a hard-fought battle. Despite conceding an early goal to Derrick Male, Park rallied back with goals from Shafiq Mulangira, Samuel Kalyango, and a brace from Derrick Walugembe to secure a 4-2 win.
With this triumph, Park  extended their unbeaten streak and surged to the top of the table with 38 points, leaving Luzira trailing by eight points at 30 points after both teams completed 14 games.

In another fixture on Matchday 14, Kisugu  secured a 4-2 victory over Mengo City , propelling themselves to the fifth position on the league standings with 23 points.
Looking ahead, the remaining fixtures on Matchday 14 promise more excitement. Kisenyi FC has an opportunity to overtake Luzira in the second position with a win over Lubaga Grameen. Meanwhile, Kawempe  seeks their maiden victory against Kabowa Dream Team , and Nansana Aska  prepares to host Aidenal .
As the BetPawa Futsal Super League intensifies, fans eagerly anticipate more thrilling encounters and potential upsets in the race for the championship title.
