Despite facing a setback with a late defeat to Nigeria in the semi-finals which meant they wouldn’t vie for gold, they rallied together to secure bronze against Senegal.

Prior to the semi-finals, Uganda finished in second place with 5 points in Group A, courtesy of two draws and a victory. This solid performance set the stage for their remarkable journey to claim their first-ever silverware on the continent.

Meanwhile, in the highly anticipated final match, Ghana emerged victorious, defeating Nigeria to clinch the gold medal.
