The StarTimes Uganda premier league action continues this Friday with two fixtures. Kitara fc welcome BUL FC at the Masindi stadium in the top of the table clash that will be broadcast live on Sanyuka Prime.
Kitara leads the table with 43 points, four above second placed BUL after 21 games.
The hosts will be motivated by the statement issued by the Masindi municipality Town clerk Francis Nyamugo on Thursday halting last week’s resolution by the municipal council to impose a 10% charge off Kitara fc match day revenue.
According to the town clerk, the relationship between the municipality and Kitara fc to host games at the Masindi stadium is based on a memorandum of understanding that is running till the end of June before the council resolutions that are subject to negotiations before implementation.
In the current memorandum of understanding, Kitara fc pays Shs200000 per game they host from Masindi municipal stadium.
Ten man BUL beat Kitara 2-1 at the FUFA technical center in Njeru in the reverse fixture with Alex Kitata scoring a brace while talisman Denis Omedi pulled one back for the Brian Senyondo side.
Brian Ahebwa, who returns to the side from compassionate leave is confident they will have three points from home.
“Firstly, we glorify the Lord for the position we are in. We have had a good break and we have prepared very well. Me as a player, I am ready and hope we can win and maintain our position,” noted Ahebwa, who has scored thrice and assisted four times in the league this season. BUL FC forward Ibrahim Orit wants to see his side return two winning ways after going three games winless. “We have rectified our mistakes and we want to give our fans the best. We are in Masindi for three points,” he noted.
The other game will see 12th placed Wakiso Giants taking on third placed NEC FC in Wakiso. The two sides played to a one-all draw in the reverse fixture at Lugogo.
