Maroons Complete Double Over Express

Maroons arrested their six-game winless run in the premier league with a 2-0 home victory over struggling Express FC on Thursday at the Luzira grounds. Fred Amaku opened the scoring in the 51st minute with his 10th goal of the campaign, before Ronald Orombi capped his man of the match performance with the second goal in the 63rd minute.

This win marked the first victory for the Luzira side, which had lost and drawn thrice in the last six games. Meanwhile, Express FC has now suffered defeat in their last four matches, and head coach Baker Mbowa is still awaiting his first win in charge since replacing Alex Isabirye.
