Match Day 12 Recap: Kawempe Muslim Maintain Lead in FUFA Women’s Super League

Kawempe Muslim FC continues to dominate the FUFA Women’s Super League as they maintain their lead after Match Day 12 fixtures. The latest results saw spirited encounters and notable performances across the league.

In a fiercely contested match, Uganda Martyrs secured a hard-fought victory against Lady Doves with a scoreline of 2-1. Kevin Nakacwa and Latifah Nakasi were the heroes for Uganda Martyrs, finding the back of the net, while Norah Alupo managed to pull one back for Lady Doves. With this win, Uganda Martyrs sits comfortably in 4th place with 15 points, while Lady Doves finds themselves in 6th place with 12 points.

UCU Lady Cardinals and Kampala Queens FC battled to a 1-1 draw, with Jovia Nakagolo scoring for UCU Lady Cardinals and Catherine Nagadya equalizing for Kampala Queens FC. Kampala Queen FC maintains their strong position in second place with 24 points, while UCU Lady Cardinals are in 5th place with 14 points.

Rhine SS and Makerere University played out a thrilling one-all draw, further solidifying their mid-table positions. Rhine SS currently occupies the 7th spot with 12 points, while Makerere University sits just below them in 8th place with 11 points.

In another exciting match, Wakiso Hill secured a crucial 3-2 victory over Asubo Gaffold, marking their second win of the season. Despite this win, Wakiso Hill remains at the bottom of the table with 8 points, while Asubo Gaffold is second to last with 10 points.

League leaders, Kawempe Muslim, and the formidable She Maroons are set to clash on Wednesday April 3rd to complete the Match Day 12 fixtures.

A win for Kawempe Muslim would extend their lead to 27 points, further cementing their position at the top, while a victory for She Maroons would propel them to 19 points, closing the gap between them and second placed Kampala Queens.
