Qatar Aiming to Host the 2036 Summer Olympics

Qatar is setting its sights on hosting the 2036 Summer Olympics, aiming to make history as the first Arab nation to host the prestigious event. Officials express confidence in Qatar’s ability to host mega-sporting events, citing the ongoing AFC U23 Asian Cup Qatar 2024 as a testament to the country’s robust sporting infrastructure.

Abdulla Al Fehani, Executive Director of Venues and Technical Services at the AFC U23 Asian Cup Qatar 2024 Local Organizing Committee, emphasizes Qatar’s global leadership in hosting major sporting events. He highlights the success of the tournament, which builds on Qatar’s previous hosting experience, including the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 and the FIFA World Cup in 2022.
