Kitara Aim for Victory Against Bright Stars to Keep Title Hopes Alive

Kitara will be looking for nothing less than a win as they face Bright Stars in a crucial StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter at Kavumba Recreation Ground this afternoon.

The match marks the penultimate fixture of the 2023/24 campaign, with Kitara under pressure to secure a win to stay in contention for the league title. Brian Ssenyondo’s squad understands the importance of a victory, especially with rivals BUL, SC Villa, and Vipers also vying for maximum points in their respective matches.

While Kitara boasts a strong offensive lineup led by Denis Omedi, they face a resilient Bright Stars side, led by top scorer Nelson Ssenkatuka. In their previous encounter in December, Kitara emerged victorious with a 3-1 win at Masindi Stadium.

Despite recent setbacks, including scoring stalemates in their last two home matches, Kitara remains determined to secure a victory against Bright Stars. With players like George Senkaaba returning to the lineup, Kitara aims to capitalize on their strengths and secure a crucial win in their pursuit of the league title.

However, Bright Stars is also eager to bounce back from recent defeats and will pose a formidable challenge for Kitara FC.
