Heathens’ Prodigy Malcom Okello Receives ForteBet May Nod

Platinum Credit Heathens’ Malcom Daniel Okello has been named Rugby’s Player of the Month of May. Okello has been playing rugby from his younger days starting in 2007. He started with the Tigers and Stallions before earning promotion to Heathens RFC.

Okello beat Emily Lekuru and Ivan Magomu who were in the race for the gong having helped his team clinch a record extending Championship and further solidifying their position as the leading rugby club in Uganda.

Speaking to NBS Sport about balancing his rugby career with academic responsibilities, Okello said the competitive environment fuels his determination to remain focused and excel in both endeavors.

The FORTEBET Real Stars Sports Award for the best rugby player of the month of May is his first such accolade.

Speaking on the achievement, Okello said he was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude, thanking God, his coach, and his teammates for their crucial support in his success.
