A new football simulation game, UFL, has been launched by Strikerz Inc., with the aim of competing against established titles like EA FC and eFootball. The game, officially released on June 7, offers a free-to-play experience and features impressive gameplay footage, as highlighted by numerous Twitch streamers.
UFL promises an innovative approach to football gaming with online matchmaking that ensures players face opponents of similar skill levels. According to IGN, the game includes “fair to play” online divisions connected by promotions, and an annual champion is crowned at the end of each season. The title also features offline play, along with 2v2 and 3v3 match options.
Cristiano Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner and an investor in UFL, posted a trailer on June 7, announcing the open beta availability on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. “The @UFLgame Open Beta starts today. Try it on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S! For free! June 7-9,” Ronaldo tweeted.
Ronaldo has been heavily involved in the development of UFL, with Strikerz Inc. making a significant statement in 2022 by featuring him as the cover star. The 39-year-old is part of a group of investors that have committed over $40 million to the game’s development.
Ronaldo expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “I’m thrilled to be a part of this project as UFL can become the new breed in football gaming.”
Eugene Nashilov, CEO of Strikerz Inc., highlighted the importance of Ronaldo’s involvement. “Having Cristiano Ronaldo join us as a partner and investor is a significant step forward and an endorsement of our vision to create the leading game for football fans in the world,” Nashilov said.
He emphasized UFL’s commitment to innovation, technology, and entertainment, aiming to fill a gap in the football gaming market by offering a rich gaming experience with continuous progress and a fair approach.
