The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the draw for the Beach Soccer AFCON Egypt 2024 Qualifiers will take place this Thursday, June 13th, 2024, at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
The draw will be conducted at 2pm Egyptian local time, and streamed on CAF TV.
The qualifiers will determine the seven teams that will join hosts Egypt in the final tournament, scheduled to take place later in the summer of 2024.
This will mark the sixth edition of the beach soccer tournament, with the previous one held in Mozambique in 2022.In that memorable clash, Senegal emerged victorious, securing their fourth consecutive Beach Soccer AFCON title.
The Teranga Lions clinched the trophy in dramatic fashion, defeating the Pharaohs of Egypt 2-2 (6-5 on penalties) in a thrilling final at the Vilankulo Arena.
Egypt, the host nation, will be determined to make the most of their home advantage and reclaim the trophy they narrowly missed out on in 2022.
