Sudan took the lead just before halftime with a goal from Walieldin Khedr in the 45th minute. In the second half, Yasir Mozamil (51′) and Mohamed Abdelrahman (78′) secured the win for Sudan with their goals.

The victory solidifies Sudan’s position at the top of Group B standings with 10 points, while South Sudan remains at the bottom with 2 points.

President Kiir reiterated his government’s commitment to fostering peace and national unity through sports, promising continued investment in athletics, including support for football and basketball players on the global stage.
