She Corporate has emerged victorious in the 2023/24 FUFA Women Elite League after a thrilling final against Olila High School WFC. The match, held at Standard High School Zzana, Ndejje campus, ended in a goalless draw, leading to a tense penalty shootout where She Corporate FC triumphed 6-5.
The closely contested game saw several scoring opportunities for She Corporate FC, but they failed to capitalize in normal time. The penalty shootout saw Grace Nassongo miss for She Corporate FC, while Olila’s Marion Amangat and Esther Aanyu also missed their shots.
The victory was witnessed by FUFA 1st Vice President Justus Mugisha, who officiated the crowning ceremony alongside FUFA Executive Committee Member Rogers Mulindwa. The shootout’s key scorers for She Corporate FC included Stella Musibika, Anita Arinda, Spencer Nakacwa, Brenda Munyana, Lucy Fiona Atono, and Joweria Nagadya. Olila HS WFC’s scorers were Eunice Ariokot, Dorcus Lwalisa, Mary Lotyang, Doreen Apio, and Oliver Adong.
In the third-place playoff, Byafaayo Queens secured a 2-0 victory over FC Tooro Queens, courtesy of a brace from Shayline Opisa, earning them the third promotional slot to the FUFA Women Super League.
