KCCA Football Club announced the signing of striker Emmanuel Anyama from Kaaro Karungi on Thursday evening.
After penning a four-year contract with the Kasasiro Boys, Anyama noted that he has been inspired by passion.
“I am impressed by the passion of how things are done here,” the 25-year-old was quoted by the club website.
“I am thrilled to be joining KCCA because this club has a great history and I am eager to contribute to that legacy.”
“I can’t wait to give my all on the pitch and together we can achieve great things,” he noted.
During the 2023/24 season, he managed 12 goals for Kaaro Karungi in the FUFA Big League only four goals behind the eventual top scorer Dickson Niwamanya of Booma FC who netted 16 goals.
Anyama will therefore be hoping to carry his impressive performance and scoring boots to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
At the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, he will be competing with sharpshooter Muhammad Shaban who is set to sign a new two-year contract after agreeing to terms with the club according to reports.
In total, Anyama and Shaban scored 29 goals last season given that the latter was the top scorer in the SUPL with 17 goals.
He becomes head coach Abdallah Mubiru’s third signing after Shafik Kwikiriza Nana and Steven Munguchi from BUL FC and Gaddafi FC, respectively.
Meanwhile, Ashraf Mugume renewed his contract, Humphrey Oyirwoth was promoted from the development side to the senior team, while goalkeeper Mutwalibi Mugolofa’s contract was extended until 2027.
Following a poor start to last season, the 13-time SUPL champions fought back and finished fifth and are preparing to compete at the front next season.
