The Federation of Uganda Football Associations has confirmed that the 100th Ordinary General Assembly will convene on October 4, 2024, in Wakiso District under the auspices of the Buganda Regional Football Association. This was confirmed by FUFA CEO Edgar Watson in a notice to stakeholders.
The Ordinary General Assembly serves as the supreme legislative body of Ugandan football, comprising 34 members represented by 88 delegates. Annually, delegates gather to review the previous year’s activities and strategize for the future of football in Uganda.
“This Assembly marks a significant milestone in our organizational history,” stated Watson. “It provides a platform for all member associations to contribute to the governance and development of football across our nation.”
Since 2013, the Assembly has rotated across Uganda’s eight regions, ensuring equitable representation and regional inclusivity in FUFA’s decision-making processes. Previous hosts have included Jinja, Lira, Soroti, and most recently Moroto in the North East Region.
Key agenda items for the 100th Assembly will include the presentation of activity reports, financial statements, approval of budgets, and discussions on membership matters as outlined in Article 21 (2) of the FUFA Statutes and Regulations.
Ahead of the General Assembly, member associations will convene independent annual assemblies to finalize resolutions and reports for discussions at the national level.
