Rugby Cranes 15s head coach Fred Mudoola has today named the final 28-man squad for the 2024 Rugby Africa Cup, scheduled from July 19 to 28 at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, and Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium.
Following a training camp in Jinja, the squad has been trimmed from the original 35 players who participated in high-intensity training in South Africa.
Rugby Cranes Sevens players Alex Aturinda, Timothy Kisiga, and Phillip Wokorach have been added to the final 28-man squad to bolster the team.
The side is captained by Ivan Magomu, with Byron Oketayot and Conrad Wanyama serving as vice-captains, combining youth and experienced players.
The 2024 Rugby Africa Cup will feature eight teams, including hosts Uganda, Kenya, holders Namibia, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Algeria.
