Following the release of the 2024/25 StarTimes Uganda Premier League fixtures on Friday night, it is inevitable that the football enthusiasts will be looking for certain games and when they’ll be played.
KCCA versus Vipers has proved to be the biggest game in the UPL in recent time and whenever the fixtures are announced there’s always curiosity in both camps regarding the this fixture.
Alongside KCCA and Vipers, Villa, Express, Kitara, BUL, and URA are the other teams of interest especially with games amongst themselves.
Some of these fixtures are traditional derbies, the Kampala Derbies which involves three rivals KCCA, Villa, and Express.
On the other hand, the ever increasing competitiveness in the league has continued to develop rivalries for example between KCCA and Kitara, Vipers and Kitara.
The first meeting between KCCA and Vipers will happen on match-day seven on Saturday, November 2 with the latter hosting the former before the second leg on match-day 18 on Saturday, January 15.
The first Kampala derby of the season will happen when seven-time champions Express welcome the defending champions Villa on match-day eight on Saturday, November 9. The two will meet again in the second leg on Friday, January 31.
On the other hand, the second Kampala Derby of the season will be between KCCA and Express on match-day 11 on Saturday, December 7 at Lugogo before the return leg on match-day 29 on Saturday, May 17.
The third Kampala Derby will see KCCA hosting Villa on match-day 13 on Saturday, December 20 before the second leg on match-day 27 on Friday, May 9.
Meanwhile, Vipers will host Villa first on match-day six on Saturday, October 26 before the second leg on match-day 19 on Saturday, February 22.
