Kitara Football Club have announced more additions to their squad ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 season.
The club has secured the services of experienced midfielder Denis Mande on a one-year contract and promoted two promising young talents, John Byaruhanga and Collin Alinitwe, from their U-19 team.
Mande’s return to Kitara marks his second stint with the club, having previously played for the Royals in the 2014/15 season.
His wealth of experience and creative abilities will undoubtedly strengthen the midfield and provide a valuable asset to Brian Ssenyondo’s team.
“I’m thrilled to be back home at Kitara,” Mande expressed. “The memories we created here are unforgettable, and I’m eager to contribute to another successful campaign.”
Joining Mande are Byaruhanga and Alinitwe, two talented youngsters who have impressed in the U-19 team.
Byaruhanga, a skilful winger known for his dribbling and goal-scoring abilities, has been a standout performer for the junior side.
Alinitwe, a promising midfielder, has also showcased his potential during the preseason.
“We are delighted to promote Byaruhanga and Alinitwe to the senior team,” said Ssenyondo. “They have both demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication, and we believe they have the potential to excel at the top level.”
With these additions, Kitara will look to challenge for top honours and defend the Uganda Cup next season.
