Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club have strengthened their squad with the acquisition of goalkeeper Derrick Ochan on a two-year deal.
Ochan joins the Tax Collectors from KCCA, where he spent the 2022-2023 season.
A product of the FUFA Juniors League, Ochan has amassed significant experience throughout his career, having previously played for Vipers Junior Team, Vipers senior team, and Police.
His standout moment came in 2019 when he led Acholi Province to victory in the FUFA Drum tournament, saving a crucial penalty in the shootout against Bukedi.
Ochan’s arrival is expected to bolster URA’s goalkeeping department, which already includes Denis Otim and Rogers Omedwa.
He joins the club as their fourth new signing of the season, following Isma Mugulusi, Abraham Tusubira, and Bright Vuni.
URA will face off against his former club, KCCA, in the opening match of the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League season at the MTN Omondi stadium.
