Makerere University are off to a perfect start in the 2024/25 Pepsi University Football League.
Makerere edged Victoria University 1-0 at the Makerere University Playgrounds on Thursday evening.
Frank Muteganga was the man of the moment scoring from a header in the 17th minute thanks to Herbert Wasswa’s brilliant delivery from a freekick.
The inaugural winners of UFL are immediately placed at the summit of Group B with three points and a win in their next game could earn them a spot on the knockouts.

It was also the first time a team was winning a game in the new campaign given that the first game of the season ended in a 1-1 draw between Uganda Christian University and St. Lawrence University in Mukono on Tuesday.

Day three of the UFL will see two-time champions Kampala University welcoming Kampala International University to Kibuli on Friday.
