The Uganda cycling team to this year’s Jubilee Live Free Race powered by the Grand Nairobi Bike Race has been officially flagged off to Kenya.

Uganda’s team supported by Jubilee Insurance will partake in all six race categories, including the 60 km main race, 12 km family fun ride, the popular 48 km black mamba ride for single-speed bicycles, 2 km kiddies’ race, the 48 km para-cycling race and 60 km team race for teams of six riders.

“We are proud to be a part of this cycling event as part of our CSR. Cycling is one of the sports most people do to keep fit,” noted Linda Byaruhanda, the Jubilee Insurance Chief Distribution Officer.

Jubilee Insurance supported Team Uganda with Shs30m and Sam Mahaba, the Uganda cycling association president is grateful.

“I am happy that we shall be able to compete in Nairobi. I implore more individuals and corporate companies to support our sport,” he noted.

Paul Lumuria is back to defend his main race title as Dawson Senabulya wants to better his previous second finish in the Black Mamba category. This third edition of the international premier cycling event will bring together up to 2,500 participants from across the globe.
