Uganda is gearing up to compete in the fifth edition of the Africa Regional IV Championship, hosted by the Rwanda Golf Union this week.
The tournament, held in partnership with the Africa Golf Confederation and the R&A, will take place at the prestigious Kigali Golf Resort & Villas.
Representing Uganda in the championship are Joseph Cwinyaai, Joseph Reagan Akena, Joseph Kasozi, and Ibrahim Ssemakula, led by Coach Flavia Namakula.
The team is aiming to reclaim the title after Kenya’s victory in the fourth edition.
The Uganda Golf Union expressed its excitement about the team’s participation and acknowledged the support of its strategic partners, including the National Council of Sports, the media, and various sponsors.
Following the Rwanda championship, the Ugandan team will return home to begin preparations for the upcoming All Africa Golf Team Championships in Harare, Zimbabwe.
