We take a look at how the UPL teams have been represented and who took the lion’s share in the Belgian’s squad.

KCCA, Kitara, defending champions Villa, Vipers, BUL are the five of the 16 UPL teams with at least a player in summoned team.

The Kasasiro Boys dominated the team with four representatives; defender Gavin Kizito Mugweri, midfielder Saidi Mayanja, winger and youngster Shafik Nana Kwikiriza, and striker Derrick Nsibambi.

Reigning champions Villa follows suit with two players in midfielder and their captain Ronald Ssekiganda and defender Arnold Odongo.

Uganda Cup holders Kitara also have two players in the team; forwards Denis Omedi and Jude Ssemugabi and were both on target against South Africa and Congo Brazzaville, respectively.

Vipers and BUL are represented by one player each in midfielder Allan Okello and defender Nicholas Mwere, apiece.

The former was instrumental in the draw against South Africa and the victory over Congo Brazzaville providing an assist in both games.
