Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) women’s volleyball team extended their unbeaten run in the 2024 season with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Vision Volleyball Club (VVC) at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Wednesday.
The win, KCCA’s third consecutive of the season, strengthens their bid to qualify for the women’s national volleyball league playoffs.
VVC, determined to challenge the reigning champions, fought back to claim the second set after KCCA had taken the lead.
However, the four-time champions regained control to close out the match, sending a clear message to their rivals as they seek to defend their 2023 title.
In a closely contested match that had fans on the edge of their seats, KCCA displayed their strength and resilience.
Led by captain Eunice Amuron, the team proved their dominance with an inspired performance.
Amuron emphasized the importance of maintaining their winning streak as they aim for another successful campaign this season.
In the men’s division, Elyon Volleyball Club delivered a commanding 3-0 win over Police Volleyball Club. The Namugongo-based side showcased their superiority with a dominant display throughout the match.
Volleyball action will resume on Sunday, October 20, with more fixtures set to ignite the league.
