Kizza Links Up with Ugandan Trio in Egypt

Mustafa Kizza has officially joined Egyptian second-division side Telecom FC, with images of his unveiling finally emerging after weeks of speculation.

Kizza, the Uganda Cranes left-back, confirmed his departure from Express FC last week after a brief two-month spell with the Red Eagles, having joined as a free agent from KCCA FC at the start of the season on a one-year deal.

In Egypt, Kizza joins three of his fellow Ugandan internationals, Joseph Ochaya, Joachim Ojera, and Allan Kyambadde, who all play in the Egyptian Premier League.

Ochaya and Ojera currently feature for Arab Contractors, while Kyambadde represents El Dakhleya.

Kizza’s journey in professional football has taken him across multiple continents.

Before his move to Egypt, he had stints with Major League Soccer side Montreal Impact and Portuguese outfit Arouca SC.

His latest move to Telecom FC marks his third international club in his career.

Unlike most of his Ugandan compatriots who moved to Egypt after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Kyambadde has stayed in the country, switching clubs from El Gouna to El Dakhleya.

In a social media post on Monday, Kizza shared his excitement about the new chapter:

“To the new beginnings, ladies and gentlemen, our new home is Egyptian side Telecom FC. May Allah take control of this new chapter.”

As Kizza embarks on this new journey, fans are eager to see how he will perform alongside his compatriots in Egypt, as Uganda’s adventure in North Africa continues.
