Liverpool dealt major blow ahead of Arsenal clash

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed that two key players will miss their crucial Premier League clash against Arsenal this weekend.

The Reds, currently top of the table, will be without Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa for the highly anticipated match at the Emirates Stadium.

Slot revealed the news in his pre-match press conference, stating, “I think they [Conor Bradley, Diogo Jota, Harvey Elliott, Alisson and Federico Chiesa], feel good, but not for the weekend. Chiesa might train today, Diogo not, Conor, let’s see if he can be with us tomorrow.”

The absence of Jota and Chiesa is a significant setback for Liverpool, as both players have been instrumental in their strong start to the season. Jota, in particular, has been a prolific scorer and a key attacking threat.

Arsenal will also be without a key player, as William Saliba is suspended following his red card against Bournemouth.

The French defender has been a vital part of Mikel Arteta’s defense this season.
