Kitara Set to Appoint League-Winning Coach Amid Struggle

Following the departure of head coach Brian Ssenyondo and his technical team, Kitara has swiftly moved to bring experienced leadership on board, zeroing in on renowned Ugandan coach Wasswa Bbosa as his successor.

Kitara’s management initially reached out to both Bbosa and Matia Lule, but sources confirm that the club has now settled on Bbosa, with an official announcement expected soon.

Bbosa, who boasts a solid coaching background, is anticipated to bring a fresh tactical approach as Kitara fights to climb out of the relegation zone.

Currently placed 14th with only four points from six matches, the team is in urgent need of a turnaround.

Bbosa’s first test as head coach will come quickly, as Kitara is set to face URA in Kampala on Friday, November 1, at the Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.

Supporters are hopeful that his debut will spark an upswing in Kitara’s form.

A respected figure in Ugandan football, Bbosa has previously managed top-tier clubs like Express, Gaddafi, and most recently, Mbarara City.

His most notable achievement came in 2020/21 when he led Express to win the Uganda Premier League title and the CECAFA Kagame Cup, showcasing his capability to inspire and elevate teams in challenging circumstances.

Fans eagerly await Bbosa’s official unveiling and his first outing as Kitara’s head coach, hopeful that his expertise will steer the team towards turning fortunes around.
