No Physical Tickets at Namboole for Uganda vs South Africa AFCON Qualifier, FUFA Confirms

As anticipation builds for the crucial AFCON 2025 qualifying match between Uganda and South Africa, FUFA has announced that no physical tickets will be sold at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, on match day, November 15, 2024.

FUFA has now urged fans to secure their tickets online exclusively through MTN MoMo to avoid missing out on what promises to be a thrilling encounter.

Tickets are now available for purchase, beginning with the discounted UGX 20,000 early bird tickets.

These are selling fast, and once sold out, UGX 25,000 and UGX 30,000 tickets will be released in succession.

No physical tickets will be available at the stadium on match day, a measure taken to streamline entry and minimize crowd congestion.

MTN’s updated system aims to provide fans with their tickets instantly upon purchase, eliminating the need for long lines at the entrance.

Fans will receive either an SMS with a QR code or an email with a downloadable ticket attachment, which will include gate, block, and seat information.

How to Purchase Tickets via MTN MoMo:

1. Dial *165*20#
2. Enter your PIN Code
3. Input 151
4. Select your ticket category: 1 for UGX 20,000, 2 for UGX 50,000, or 3 for UGX 150,000
5. Enter the number of tickets
6. Choose SMS or SMS with email for ticket delivery
7. Confirm purchase
8. (Optional) Enter your email address for ticket receipt
9. Re-enter your PIN Code to complete the transaction

Each ticket will feature a QR code required for entry scanning. Fans are advised to keep their QR codes secure to prevent unauthorized access.

The Uganda Cranes’ fixture against South Africa is a pivotal match for both teams. Uganda require a draw to qualify while South Africa require at least two points from their final two games to qualify.
