Roy Keane Slams Bruno Fernandes’ Apology to Sacked Man Utd Manager

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has harshly criticized current captain Bruno Fernandes for his apology to recently sacked manager Erik ten Hag

Keane believes the apology came too late and that Fernandes’ leadership has been lacking.

Ten Hag was dismissed last Monday after a tumultuous third season at Old Trafford.

Despite winning the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, the club’s overall performance was deemed unsatisfactory.

Ruben Amorim has been appointed as the new manager, with Ruud van Nistelrooy serving as interim manager.

Following a 1-1 draw against Chelsea, Fernandes expressed regret for his role in Ten Hag’s dismissal during a post-match interview.

He acknowledged his poor form and stated his intention to improve.

However, Keane was unimpressed with Fernandes’ apology. “Too little, too late,” he said. “We’ll judge what you’re doing on the football pitch. I don’t think Bruno has done enough in a lot of the games already. He didn’t show that leadership.”

Keane further emphasized that many players often don’t care about a manager’s departure and prioritize their own interests.

He questioned Fernandes’ leadership qualities and suggested that the captain hasn’t been supportive enough during difficult times.

The former United captain concluded by stating that Fernandes shouldn’t be proud of the situation and that the players ultimately let the manager down.
