Paul Put: Taking Uganda to the World Cup a Dream

As Uganda Cranes prepare for their decisive 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against South Africa and Congo, Head Coach Paul Put has summoned a 27-man squad.

The team, which balances experience with emerging talent, has undergone notable changes with both new inclusions and exclusions.

Coach Put included four goalkeepers, highlighting KCCA’s Mutwalibu Mugolofa’s addition for experience ahead of Uganda’s upcoming CHAN games against Burundi.

Uganda currently sits in a challenging position in their qualification group, needing at least one point of the upcoming games to strengthen their path to the AFCON finals.

With this in mind, Paul Put has urged fans to rally behind the Cranes, emphasizing the players’ commitment and focus on securing qualification.
