The Uganda Cranes kicked off their preparations today, Monday, November 11, with an initial training session ahead of their crucial AFCON 2025 qualifying matches against South Africa and Congo.
With just days remaining before their November 15 showdown with South Africa, the team assembled for an activation exercise in the morning at Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisasi to begin priming for the high-stakes games.
Following the morning activation, the Cranes transitioned to the Mandela National Stadium’s outside pitch for their first official training session at 4 PM.
The session marks the beginning of an intensive buildup period, as head coach Paul Put and his team focus on sharpening tactics and solidifying teamwork to secure the single point needed to confirm Uganda’s spot in the AFCON 2025 tournament in Morocco.
More training sessions are expected in the coming days as Uganda aims to fortify its lead in Group K and push toward the tournament.
Most of the players based abroad have already joined the camp with the rest expected to arrive shortly adding to the Cranes’ preparations for these key matches.
