The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has announced a comprehensive program aimed at bolstering talent identification within the country’s football landscape.
The initiative, titled the FUFA Talent ID Framework, will see the rollout of Grade 4 scouting courses across all four regions of Uganda.
With the ambitious goal of training and equipping at least one Grade 4 Football Scout in every Ugandan district, FUFA seeks to establish a robust network capable of discovering hidden talent across the nation.
This move aligns perfectly with the outlined objectives within the FUFA Technical Master Plan, which prioritizes talent identification as a cornerstone of elite football development.
The implementation of this talent identification program is made possible through the generous support of FIFA’s Talent Development Scheme (TDS).
This global development program fosters a high-performance culture within talent development ecosystems, providing crucial resources for initiatives like FUFA’s.
FUFA will be hosting four fully sponsored Grade 4 Scouting Courses across the four existing FUFA Regional Football Associations. The schedule for these courses is as follows:
* Kampala Region: November 27th – 28th, 2024
* West Nile Region: December 2nd – 3rd, 2024
* Western Region: December 8th – 9th, 2024
* Buganda Region: December 12th – 13th, 2024
FUFA is inviting applications from qualified individuals with football experience to participate in these limited-availability courses.
Those interested in applying for a spot in their respective region can find more details on the FUFA website.
Following the successful completion of these initial courses, FUFA plans to extend the program to the remaining four FUFA Regional Football Associations in 2025. These regions include North East, Eastern, Northern, and Kitara.
