Chop Gaming Limited, in partnership with the Uganda Women’s Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO), has brought renewed hope to Masulita Children’s Village with the commissioning of a newly reconstructed girls’ dormitory.
The facility was officially opened on Thursday by Natasha Museveni Karugire, who represented her mother, First Lady Janet Kataaha Museveni, a key advocate for UWESO since its founding in 1986.
Speaking at the event, Natasha Museveni expressed gratitude for Chop Gaming’s substantial support during last year’s fundraising drive, which raised over 1 billion UGX.
She remarked, “This progress is inspiring, and Chop Gaming’s unwavering support has gone beyond expectations.”
“Their contributions have ensured the completion of this dormitory, providing better living conditions for these children.”
Chop Gaming Director Allan Tumushabe reiterated the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.

The Masulita Children’s Village, located in Wakiso District, serves as a haven for over 700 orphans.
Vulnerable children, offering them shelter, rehabilitation, and skills development.
The reconstructed dormitory is expected to significantly improve living conditions for the girls at the facility.
Other dignitaries at the event included UWESO CEO Jolly Kakuhangire, Ministry of Gender Permanent Secretary Aggrey David Kibenge.

This project represents UWESO’s ongoing dedication to uplifting vulnerable children, a mission led by the First Lady since its inception.
