KCCA endured another tough loss, falling 1-0 to Express in the Uganda Premier League at the MTN Omondi Stadium.
Former KCCA player Emmanuel Wasswa scored the decisive goal in the 30th minute, helping the Red Eagles secure bragging rights in the Kampala Derby.
This defeat has brought KCCA and Express level on points, with KCCA in third place due to a better goal difference.
It also marked Express’ second consecutive win at Lugogo, following their 2-1 victory in last season’s first leg.
For Express interim coach Badru Kaddu, it was a triumphant return to face his former club, extending his unbeaten streak to five games since taking charge.
KCCA, on the other hand, are struggling. After starting the season unbeaten in seven games, they have now lost two of their last three matches, both at home.
Their previous defeat also came at the hands of former players Muzamiru Mutyaba and Paul Mucureezi while facing NEC.
The Kasasiro Boys will aim to bounce back from a four game winless streak when they visit Wakiso Giants on December 15, while Express hosts URA on December 13.
