CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe is set to return to Uganda this Friday, 20 December, as part of his tour of the three nations hosting the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024.
His visit comes nearly two years after his last trip to Uganda in July 2022.
Dr. Motsepe will meet with government officials, football leadership, and the local organizing committee to assess Uganda’s preparations for the prestigious tournament.
His schedule includes inspections of stadiums, training grounds, and other facilities under renovation for CHAN 2024.
The CAF President’s visit will begin in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Thursday, followed by Nairobi, Kenya, earlier on Friday, before concluding in Kampala.
This tour follows a second CAF delegation inspection in November, which reviewed stadiums, hotels, airports, and other infrastructure across the three host nations.
Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania will jointly host CHAN 2024, showcasing Africa’s top home-based football talent next year.
