The KCB KOBs have set sights on trophy success this season in a bid to end the three-year drought that has seen the Legends,-based side fall short in recent years.
Hampered by player departures, injuries and managerial changes, the 13-time league winners who reached the semi-finals of last season’s Nile Special Rugby League Championship are determined to claim the title this season.
Club chairman Dr Luggya Stone believes the club is on course to achieve set goals, “We as KCB KOBS have gone back to the drawing board, determined to end our drought of trophies since 2019. With new leadership from Head Coach Timothy Mudoola and Assistant Coach Keith Sseruyange, we aim to dominate both the games and the scoreboards this season.”
The “blue army” side held their annual general meeting over the weekend where cub members recapped the previous year and set targets for 2025.
Luggya urges fans to rally behind the team this season in order to achieve its ambitions.
“We call upon all our fans to come enjoy poetry in motion, support the boys in every game and training session, and make every weekend a celebration,” he said.
KCB KOBs face Rhinos in their season opener this weekend at Legends rugby grounds.
