Uganda Cranes midfielder Ibrahim Kasule has signed a two-year MLS NEXT Pro contract with New York Red Bulls II, keeping him with the club through the 2026 season, pending visa and registration approval.
“We are happy to have [Ibrahim] Kasule back with the squad,” said fellow countryman and Head Coach Ibrahim Sekagya.
“He is a talented midfielder that has a nose for the goal, and we are excited to keep him with our club.”
Kasule has been a standout for New York Red Bulls II since joining the team in 2023.
Over the past two seasons, he has made 48 appearances, scoring 22 goals and registering eight assists.
His 15-goal campaign in 2023 tied him for the most goals in a single season in club history and earned him recognition on the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Best XI.
He was also named MLS NEXT Pro Player of the Month twice in 2023 and 2024.
A native of Buikwe, Uganda, Kasule began his professional career with Wakiso Giants in the Uganda Premier League, where he tallied five goals and six assists during the 2022 season.
His stellar performances earned him the October 2022 Uganda Premier League Player of the Month award.
Kasule has also represented the Uganda National Team, making two appearances during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
He debuted for the Cranes on October 13, 2023, in a match against Algeria.
