Isaac Ogwang’s transfer to Vipers Sports Club is imminent, according to sources close to the Uganda Premier League player.
The move comes after months of speculation linking the in-form forward to several clubs including KCCA where a two-year deal was rumored to be on the table.
Vipers have reportedly successfully secured the signature of the gifted attacker with negotiations between the Venoms and Police FC intensifying recently, culminating in a successful agreement.
Ogwang has been a standout performer this season, netting six goals in 15 matches for Police FC.
His impressive displays have not only boosted his club’s fortunes but also earned him a coveted call-up to the national team for the CHAN qualifiers.
With his contract at Police FC set to expire in six months, the 23-year-old forward attracted significant interest from several clubs, including KCCA FC and URA FC.
However, Vipers SC ultimately emerged victorious in the pursuit of his signature.
The Venoms are believed to have offered a substantial sign-on fee to secure Ogwang’s services during the January transfer window. The player will sign a three year deal.
