Nemostars Eye African Volleyball Success

Nemostars volleyball club captain George Aporu is confident his side will win the Confederation of Africa Volleyball (CAVB) Zone 5 club championship due 26th Feb- 4th March at Lugogo indoor stadium.

Aporu made the remarks as his side unveiled a shs 5 million sponsorship package from Centenary Bank this week in Lugogo to support preparations for this year’s Africa Men’s Club Championship (ACC).

The six-time national volleyball league champions are focused on solidifying their regional and continental presence with a competitive display at this year’s CAVB Zone 5 championship and Africa Club Championship the target.

“Training is ongoing, and as a team, we are in high spirits with a full team in camp,” said Aporu.

“As Nemostars we want to measure ourselves against the best in the region and Africa. We were sixth the last time we competed in ACC and we are aiming for a spirited performance,” he added.

With shs 5 million sponsorship from Centenary Bank, the club continue preparations for the continental showpiece.

Nemostars VC sit second in the men’s national league standings as they target their fist title in five years.
