Manchester United’s rising star Alejandro Garnacho will be treating his teammates to a lavish dinner after his early exit from the field during Wednesday’s match against Ipswich.

The young Argentine winger was substituted in the 44th minute following a red card incident, and reacted by heading straight down the tunnel instead of joining the rest of the United bench.

Head coach Ruben Amorim addressed the situation, explaining that Garnacho’s actions were not out of disrespect, but rather due to him being “wet” and wanting to change.

Amorim confirmed that Garnacho watched the remainder of the game from elsewhere and rejoined the team afterwards.

However, Amorim emphasized the importance of perception, especially at a high-profile club like Manchester United.

As a result, Garnacho will be “paying for a dinner to all the team” as a consequence of his actions.

Amorim believes this will be a valuable lesson for the young player, stating, “He was subbed, he was playing well and has to go off in that moment of the game. It’s hard to deal with everything but they have to deal with everything. I just try to help them be better footballers.”

This incident comes amidst another controversy surrounding United’s captain, Bruno Fernandes, and criticism from former captain Roy Keane.

Amorim defended Fernandes, disagreeing with Keane’s assessment of the current captain’s leadership style.

Looking ahead, Garnacho, despite a minor “knock,” is expected to be fit for United’s crucial FA Cup fifth-round clash against Fulham on Sunday.
