Manchester United Enters Bidding War for Arsenal’s Striker Targets

Manchester United has reportedly initiated talks with two prominent striker targets also being pursued by Arsenal, signaling a heated summer transfer window.

According to sources at Sky Germany and the London Standard, United is aiming to bolster its attacking line, with manager Ruben Amorim expected to request significant reinforcements at the end of the current season.

The Red Devils’ current striker duo, Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, have struggled for consistent goal-scoring form.

Hojlund recently broke a 21-game goal drought against Leicester, while Zirkzee has managed only three goals in the same period.

This lack of firepower has prompted United to explore alternative options.

Despite Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s recent cost-cutting measures, United is reportedly prepared to invest in key areas.

A four-man striker shortlist has been compiled, featuring two players heavily linked with Arsenal: Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres.

Arsenal has previously shown interest in the 20-year-old Sesko, exploring potential deals in both the recent January transfer window and the previous summer. He is known for his pace, physicality, and clinical finishing.

Meanwhile, Viktor Gyokeres, formerly of Coventry City, has attracted significant attention from several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal. He has impressed with his goal-scoring record and all-around attacking play.

Both Sesko and Gyokeres are expected to command transfer fees exceeding £60 million. Reports suggest both players are open to exploring moves this summer, further intensifying the competition for their signatures.
